LINSE - Circuit and Signal Processing Laboratory – carries out research in the areas of Signal Processing and Circuits and Systems.
Signal Processing
Research in this area focuses on the study of algorithms and structures for different applications. The basic and applied research is carried out to improve the performance of current signal processing algorithms and structures.
Concerning image processing, research is carried out towards pattern recognition, image coding, video coding and automatic algorithms of visual inspection.
In the speech processing field, the research efforts include speech coding, synthesis and recognition.
Research in adaptive filtering focuses on the analysis and design of linear and nonlinear algorithms.
Circuits and Systems
Research on the design of circuits and systems focuses on the study of analog filtering based on digital technology, as well as on fully integrated continuous-time filters, by using OTA-C and MOSFET-C technologies.
Another research interest at LINSE is the development of new design techniques on phase equalization of analog systems. |
