Prof. Rui Seara
He received the B.S. and M.Sc. degrees from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil, in 1975 and 1980, respectively, and the doctoral degree from Paris-Sud University, France, in 1984, all in electrical engineering. He joined the Electrical Engineering Department, Federal University of Santa Catarina, in 1976, where he is currently a Professor of electrical engineering, and Director of LINSE. His research interests include digital and analog filtering, adaptive signal processing algorithms, image and speech processing, and digital communications.

Prof. Sidnei Noceti Filho
He received the B.S. and M.Sc. degrees from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil, in 1975 and 1980, respectively, and the doctoral degree from COPPE/Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1985. He joined the Electrical Engineering Department, Federal University of Santa Catarina, in 1976, where he is currently a Professor of electrical engineering. His research interests include analog filtering, electronic instrumentation, adaptive signal processing algorithms, and integrated circuits projects.
